The room was dimly lit by a single candle. The world outside was darkened and muted by the heavy snowfall and all were abed but him and me. 

He knelt at the table, his finger tracing over the dark symbols, foreign strange things. He whispered to himself, memorizing, reiterating, practicing. I would wake. I would kneel beside him, chewing on my fist and leaning against his arm.

He was learning to read, and though he knew it not and neither did I, he was teaching me.

Very studious and devoted to science and medicine, Kabuto carefully balances his passion for the pursuit of truth and knowledge with the need to relax and unwind. He’s a little socially awkward because he just loves to observe people and apply his scientific techniques to figure them out. He easily slides into conversations if they are in divisions of knowledge that he is well versed in or at least has read somewhat in. Although not actively looking for someone to be involved with, he does understand and appreciate the need and use of a intimate relationship.

Tsunade is a politically active woman with a glowing family line but dark personal past. She plays it off with an attractive face (and body) and her often jovial personality; though she has a fist harder than iron and a temper to match it if you cross her. Though she tends to sneak from the bottle and cast a bet now and again (even though she declared herself a reformed gambler) she does keep Konoha in mind for almost all her decisions, even minor ones. She likes to keep tabs on what is going on so she doesn’t feel out of the loop and thinks herself a bit of a well of wisdom…whether or not she really is one (or gives sound advice). 

After the death of her fiance, Dan Kato, Tsunade decided to first foster and then adopt a young man that the two of them were deciding to take in. She also took on Dan’s last name, going by Kato although she never officially married him. She also wears a tungsten wedding ring on her ring finger.
